The use of biodiesel in a conventional diesel engine works just fine. As an alternative fuel, biodiesel would seem to be a very good alternative to fossil based fuels.
Some manufacturers provide vehicles pre-filled with biodiesel blends. The esterified oil can be exploited to energize the unmodified diesel engines. Water can cause pitting in the pistons of diesel engines.
Biodiesel prices are expected to decrease as petroleum prices are expected to continue to increase in the world market. Another downside could be of more practical concern to the bio-diesel car owner in colder areas. Biodiesel is outcome of the process called transesterification.
There could come a day when we all produce our own fuel right in our backyards and gas pumps are gone. Follow the instructions closely and heed all the safety precautions before you begin to process your biodiesel.
